Abstract :
Steel beam & concrete column structures are widely used because of their capability in covering large spans and high energy absorption. The interaction between composite and steel-concrete column has been investigated in this study to indicate the behavior of steel beam-concrete column connection and compare them separately. ABAQUS finite element software has been used to numerically study the behavior of steel beam- concrete column and present the effect of steel cover plate thickness, stiffeners and FBP plates, effect of changing the compressive strength of the concrete, effect of change in resistance of the steel and effect of steel cover plate height. The result of this study shows the influence of these parameters on the behavior of studied connections. |
